Workout is a trend almost everyone is following these days. One famous form of physical exercise is circuit training. Some people would have heard the name but would not know everything about circuit training. In this blog, Rubina Ratnakar tells you all about circuit training.
Circuit training is done in sessions of around 30 to 40 minutes. In this type of training, a number of stations are made. For instance, we take 8 to 10 stations. You will start with the first exercise and instead of stopping or taking a break after that, you move on to the next exercise. Different exercises are assigned places where they are to be done, which are known as circuit stations. A full session contains a number of exercises that are of different kinds. You can arrange all kinds of exercises like aerobic, strength training, and resistance training in different sets or reps.
The main difference behind circuit training and other forms of workouts is that there is no rest in this training and you can stop only when you have done all the exercises. This will help you in increasing your stamina and increase your endurance level as well.
Circuit training is very flexible and you can make a workout plan according to your desires. You can seek some professional help, for example, from a trainer. Adjust the kind of exercises according to your body needs. You can create hundreds of combinations of your desired exercises and create your own circuit training plan.
Since there are no stops in this workout, you will not get bored as you will be doing the activities one after the other.
If you have any underlying health condition like high blood pressure or diabetes, this may be the right kind of workout for you. Since the workout is customizable you can plan a workout according to you.
If you plan for a shorter session with fewer exercises, you can do 2 or 3 repetitions of the circuit for an equivalent workout.
