Eye yoga refers to a set of exercises of the eyes that involves focusing at a near point and a far point. These exercises are generally for the betterment of the muscles of the eyes. For those who have not heard about Eye Yoga before, Rubina Ratnakar brings a complete guide to Eye Yoga.
You can get rid of any infection and get good eyesight than before as well. Even though there is not much recognition of these exercises, they still serve the purpose of relieving the eyes.
There are many exercises that are in the Eye Yoga regime. We’ll be discussing some of the popular exercises in this blog.
The first exercise involves focusing on a near point and a far point. For doing this exercise, you can take a pen and place it about 20 cm away from you. Move the pen away from you and try to keep your vision focused on the pen. Repeat this 4 to 5 times.
The next exercise is to roll your eyes. You should keep your head straight and move your eyes to the right and then move them to the left. Move your eyes upwards and then downwards. Keep on doing this exercise for at least 3 to 4 minutes. This will help in flexing your eye muscles and get an enhanced vision.
Applying warm and cold compresses are proved ways to relax your eyes and your brain as well. This exercise is similar to that practice. You should keep your eyes closed and rub your palms until they get warm. Once they get warm, you should place your fingers on your eyes and take long breathes. This will help in relaxing your eyes.
If you want to relax your eyes, you can also dip a clean cloth in cold water and place it over your eyes for some time.
Eye yoga will benefit you if you do something for your whole body. So, it would be great if you choose a full-body workout as well.
