Warming up as the name suggests means raising the temperature of your body workout. Many of the times you will think that you should skip the warm-up. This is not a good decision because it can harm and damage your body. There are a number of benefits of a warm-up.
The temperature of your body increases which henceforth increases your strength and speed. Your muscles work better than before and respond more quickly. With the increase in body temperature, the oxygen intake and breath rate of your body also improves, which will enhance your workout.
Your body is able to stretch itself before actually getting to the strenuous exercises at the gym. All the hormones that are responsible for providing the energy to you are activated and hence you develop energy over the period of warm-up.

You need to take care of certain things while warming up your body. Do not work out for a long time. Alter your warm-up according to the amount and intensity of the workout you do.
Do not do forceful or sudden activities, start with activities like walking or cycling and increase the speed gradually. Take deep breaths while warming up your body in order to attain focus. Don’t do the same warm activities every day. Since your workout routine is different every day, so should be your warm-up. Your warm-up should involve activities related to or similar to your workout.
