A Paleo diet or what we call the Paleolithic diet includes the items people used to eat in previous times. Rubina Ratnakar provides you all information about a Paleo diet.

A Paleo diet includes foods that were obtained in previous times by hunting and gathering. It includes fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, fishes, meat, etc. In earlier times, people used to be fitter and disease-free. That was all due to the diet of the people in those times. A Paleo diet is popular these days because people want to be fit and strong like the previous times. It will help in losing weight. The basic idea behind adopting a Paleo diet is to eat whole foods rather than processed ones.

On a Paleo diet, you should eat meat ( beef, chicken, and pork), seafood( fish and shrimps), eggs, fruits( apples, bananas, strawberries, oranges, pears, and strawberries), salts and spices( sea salt, garlic, cardamom, turmeric, etc.), nuts( almonds, groundnuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, etc.) and seeds( sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds).  Along with all these foods that are foods you need to avoid some foods also. The food items to be avoided are highly processed foods that contain low-fat or contain a number of additives. You should also avoid foods containing artificial sweeteners like aspartame, saccharin, cyclamates, and sucralose. Avoid sugar-containing foods like soft drinks, fruit juices, candy, cakes, ice creams, etc. Sunflower oil, corn oil, soya bean oil, and Grapeseed oil should be avoided. If you want to include some chocolates in your diet, choose dark chocolates. Most people prefer to drink only water in a Paleo diet but you can also drink tea and coffee in a small amount.

In a Paleo diet, you can eat fish or food that is high in protein in breakfast, vegetable salad and pork in lunch, and a salad along with boiled broccoli and beef in the dinner. If you want to have something for dessert, you can add strawberries or other sweet fruits to your meal. Drink lots of water to stay active all day.
